Florida Sets SEC Record for Third Straight Year, 80 Named to Fall Academic Honor Roll

For the third consecutive year, the Gators have set a new conference record.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Eighty University of Florida football players were named to the 2024 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, the league office announced on Thursday.
For the third consecutive year, the Gators have set a new conference record, topping the previous high of 75 honorees set in 2023 and 62 in 2022. A total of 137 Florida student-athletes earned recognition across men's and women's cross country, football, soccer and volleyball.
Gators Football has now reset the league record for players on Academic Honor Roll four times since 2020, when the Gators posted 55 honorees.
In total, 102 football players finished the fall semester with a GPA above a 3.0, and eight players finished with a 4.0. 43 Gators received the conference honor for at least the second time. The 3.37 team GPA in the fall set a fall semester team record.
Eleven Gators graduated in fall 2024, with two earning their Master's degree, and eight post-graduate players earning certificates.
The 2024 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2024 spring, summer and fall terms. For a full list of football honorees, please see below.
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
