
No. 4 Softball Kicks Off Road Swing in Jacksonville

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The No. 4 Florida softball team kicks off its seven-game road swing this week with a pair of midweek games, traveling to Jacksonville and North Florida on Wednesday and Thursday.
Both games are set for 6 p.m. first pitches and will air on ESPN+.
The Gators (28-4, 3-3 Southeastern Conference) are a combined 47-0 against the Dolphins and the Ospreys in program history.

- Senior Kendra Falby (.444), junior Jocelyn Erickson (.438) and freshman Taylor Shumaker (.421) are all hitting above .400 against Florida schools
- Shumaker is tied for most-RBI in the country at 48 tied, tied for total bases (92) and ranks fourth in home runs (13)
- With two RBI against No. 2 Texas on March 17, Shumaker moved into a tie for fifth-most RBI by a Florida freshman with Amanda Lorenz (2016)
- Falby and Shumaker are tied for first in the country in runs scored (42)
- Falby is just six hits away from moving in a tie with Amanda Lorenz for second-most hits in program history (301). She currently has 295 hits
- As a team, Florida ranks in the top-5 in the NCAA in scoring (8.34), walks (137), home runs per game (1.81), hits (303), home runs (58), total runs (267) and shutouts (11)
- The Gators are 6-1 on the road this season
