GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida student-athletes showed classroom achievement again in the Academic Progress Rate (APR), announced Tuesday by the NCAA.
Two Florida teams turned in the max of 1,000 scores – gymnastics and volleyball. Florida's overall average APR is 984, equal to the national four-year rate of 984.
Thirteen Florida teams exceeded or equaled its sport's national average. This includes Florida football team's 982, which is above the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) national average of 969. Men's (971) and women's (984) basketball and baseball (995) also surpass the national averages of 968, 982 and 979, respectively.
The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success by tracking eligibility and progress toward graduation of each student-athlete on scholarship. The current report contains multi-year rates based on the four years from the 2020-21 academic year through the 2023-24 academic years.
To compete in 2025-26 postseason action, teams must achieve a 930 four-year APR in this report. This is the 21st year of the APR.
