GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida softball head coach Tim Walton announced the addition of Ella Wesolowski to the program Friday.
A transfer from Mississippi State, she just completed her sophomore season with the Bulldogs.
Wesolowski, who will be a catcher for the Gators, has two years of eligibility remaining and will compete during the 2025 season.
"We're excited Ella has chosen to join our program at Florida," Walton said. "She is a hard worker, competitive and has proven success playing in the SEC."
Wesolowski appeared in 92 games during her time in Starkville, making 70 starts between catcher, right field, left field and as the designated player.
She owns a .291 (62-for-212) career batting average with 26 runs scored, 15 doubles, six home runs, 15 walks and 41 RBI.
Behind the plate, the Williamsville, N.Y., native threw out nine runners trying to steal as a sophomore in 2025.
She owns a .987 career fielding percentage, committing just five errors in 381 chances.
In high school, Wesolowski was a four-year letter winner at Williamsville East where her team won the state championship in 2019 behind a 27-0 record and three Section 6 Class A-1 championships (2019, 2021, 2022).
