Gators Announce 2025 Summer League Assignments

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Although the 2025 Florida Baseball season is in the books, select Gators will spend the upcoming months sharpening their skills throughout various developmental summer league spread across the country.
This summer, Florida players can be found with the Cape Cod League, USA Collegiate National Team, Valley League, Coastal Plain League and Northwoods League. Competition is officially underway with a handful of Gators already contributing for their summer squads.
As announced on June 13, right-handers Liam Peterson and Aidan King will don the Stars & Stripes at USA Collegiate National Team Training Camp. Featuring 56 of the top, non-draft-eligible players in the country, Training Camp gets underway for a five-game, intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 29-July 3.
Regarded as the best summer league in the sport, the Cape Cod League features eight Gators on four different rosters. Right-handed pitcher Caden McDonald, infielder Landon Stripling and outfielder Hayden Yost are all teammates on the Wareham Gatemen. Righties Luke McNeillie and Christian Rodriguez will suit up for the Harwich Mariners while infielder Brendan Lawson, outfielder Blake Cyr and right-hander Billy Barlow are repping the Brewster Whitecaps. Outfielder Ashton Wilson and incoming transfer outfielder Jaden Bastian round out the Cape Cod contingent as the lone UF players on the Falmouth Commodores and New Orleans Firebirds, respectively.
Two more members of the Orange & Blue will compete in the Valley League. Southpaw McCall Biemiller will play for the Charlottesville Tom Sox while outfielder Blake Brookins is on the Purcellville Cannons.
As for the Coastal Plain League, infielder Kolt Myers and righty Schuyler Sandford have both seen action this summer for the Macon Bacon.
Wrapping up with the Northwoods League, incoming transfer catcher AJ Malzone is lacing up the spikes with the Rockford Rivets.
