Boser Highlights Trio of BA All-Americans with First-Career Nod
Friday, June 20, 2025 | Baseball
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Baseball America unveiled its All-America Teams for the 2025 season on Friday, which included tabbing Florida star third baseman Bobby Boser as a Third Team All-American.
Earning All-America status for the first time in his career, Boser was joined by rookies Aidan King and Brendan Lawson on the Freshman All-America squad. King collected his third Freshman All-America nod of the summer while Lawson nabbed his second. Baseball America named three regular All-America Teams and one Freshman Team.
With Friday's announcement, Boser becomes the 62nd unique Gators All-American for a total of over 200 combined honors. Florida has now produced an All-American in 12-straight seasons, last failing to do so in 2013.
As the lone Gator to start all 61 games, Boser led Florida in at bats (238), hits (80), runs (72), RBI (67), total bases (146), home runs (18), stolen bases (19) and on-base percentage (.437). Finishing with a robust .336/.437/.613 batting line, Boser nearly became the second 20-homer/20-steal player in team history (Brad Wilkerson, 1998). His 21 multi-RBI games equated to over one-third of UF's contests while his six three-hit showings and 25 multi-hit games also paced the squad. The UF third baseman took home All-SEC Defensive Team honors while ranking top-10 in the SEC in runs (second), steals (fourth), RBI (sixth), hits (eighth), at bats (eighth) and total bases (eighth) during the regular season.
Setting a program record with four SEC weekly honors in 2025, King led Florida with a 2.58 ERA, .213 batting average against, 73 1/3 innings pitched and five quality starts. King delivered the lowest ERA by a Gator across a full season since Brady Singer in 2018 (2.55) while posting a 7-2 record, 1.11 WHIP, 9.7 K/9 and 3.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. The SEC All-Freshman Team member was nearly untouchable across his final five starts, going 3-1 with a 0.94 ERA, .192 BAA and 29-to-10 K-to-BB ratio over 28 2/3 innings pitched.
Making the Freshman All-SEC Team alongside King, Lawson started 60 of 61 games while hitting .317/.417/.522 for a .939 OPS. The Canadian rookie totaled 10 homers, one triple, 14 doubles, 48 runs and eight steals while ranking second on the team with 61 RBI. Lawson also finished second on the roster with 15 multi-RBI contests and 23 multi-hit games while seeing action at first, second and third base.
