Men's Basketball to Face Miami in Jacksonville
Friday, July 11, 2025 | Men's Basketball
Florida men's basketball will head to Jacksonville to take on Miami on Sunday, Nov. 16, in the Jacksonville Hoops Showdown presented by the Jacksonville Sports Foundation.
UF's ambitious 2025-26 nonconference slate includes seven power conference games with six of those in neutral or road environments. Florida squares off against three ACC foes in nonconference action, including a trip to Duke and a home game vs. Florida State along with the Miami matchup.
Game time and broadcast designation will be announced at a later date. Intersport, a Chicago-based sports marketing and events agency, will manage all aspects of the event.
Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale Sept. 24, and fans can register to receive dedicated event information and be eligible for ticket presale access, which will take place on Sept. 23, by registering online at arena.jaxevents.com.
The Gators hold a 47-24 all-time series lead against Miami and won the most recent meeting, a 78-58 victory in the semifinals of the Nov. 2019 Charleston Classic. Florida also won its last visit to VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, as well, a 98-83 victory vs. South Florida in the 2024-25 season opener.
