Skye Blakely and Leanne Wong Win U.S. Gymnastics Titles

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Gators Skye Blakely and Leanne Wong both claim U.S. Senior National Team titles after the final evening of competition at the Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships held at the Smoothie King Center.
Wong claimed the vault title and took second in the all-around. She also took third on uneven bars plus was fifth for both balance beam and floor exercise. This is her second national title, as she won the 2022 U.S. uneven bars.
Rising sophomore Skye Blakey improved her scores on the U.S. Championships' second day, posting Sunday's highest marks for both uneven bars (14.35) and balance beam (14.40). She won a share of the uneven bars title and took second for balance beam.
This weekend marked Blakely's return to elite competition since suffering an Achilles injury at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. The uneven bars win is Blakely's first U.S. National title as she was runner-up in both all-around and vault in 2024 and on vault, bars and beam in 2023.
Both Gators return to the U.S. National Team roster.

National team berths give the gymnasts a chance to claim a 2025 World Championships roster spot, which is set for Oct. 19-25 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Both Gators have won team gold at the 2022 and 2023 World Championships.
Hezly Rivera, a member of the U.S.'s 2024 Olympic gold medal team, won the 2025 U.S. Championships all-around (56.10), balance beam (28.35), floor exercise (28.20) and shared the bars title with Blakely (27.60).

Wong is the 11th to earn seven or more U.S. Senior National Team berths.
With Wong being named to her seventh consecutive U.S. Senior National Team tonight, she joins a select group. Wong is the fourth to earn a U.S. Senior National Team berth after earning bachelor's degree. She graduated magna cum laude in May with her degree in Health Education and Behavior.

About the Gators at the U.S. Championships:
This weekend's action marks Blakely's return to elite competition since she suffered a right Achilles tendon injury on the final day of podium training at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. Just 199 days later, Blakely made her collegiate debut, performing in the Gators' uneven bars lineup at the Jan. 10 season opener. She competed bars throughout the 2025 season, posting a collegiate-best 9.95 at the Southeastern Conference Championships. Blakely competed on bars and beam at the 2025 U.S. Championships.
Wong finished her Gator career in 2025 by adding seven All-America honors to her career total of 29, which is No. 3 all-time for Florida. She added three more 10.0s (bars, beam, floor) in 2025, including using that mark to share the SEC bars title. Her 11 perfect marks is second on Florida's career chart. Wong was at the last two Olympics as a U.S. Olympic replacement athlete.
