Florida debuts in the preseason top-25 for the 35th consecutive year.
Gators No. 16 in AVCA/TARAFLEX Preseason Top-25

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its AVCA/TARAFLEX Preseason Division I Top-25 poll on Wednesday, with the University of Florida volleyball team ranked No. 16.
The Gators have now been featured in the AVCA preseason poll for 35 consecutive seasons, while the ranking marks the sixth preseason top-25 appearance of Ryan Theis' head coaching career.
Florida's 2025 schedule features eight opponents ranked in the preseason top-25, including six matches against top-10 teams. The Gators open the season at the AVCA First Serve Event in Lincoln, Nebraska, taking on No. 6 Stanford on Aug. 22 and No. 3 Pitt on Aug. 24.
The top-10 slate includes matchups against No. 3 Pitt, No. 5 Texas, No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 8 Wisconsin and No. 9 Texas A&M. The Gators will also face two additional top-20 teams: No. 17 Missouri and No. 20 Baylor.
