
Commencement Weekend for Gator Student-Athletes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Among the nearly 2,800 who earn their University of Florida degrees this weekend are more than 35 Gator student-athletes.
Summer commencement ceremonies begin Friday, Aug. 8 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 9.
Gator Summer Grad Notes:
One earned a medal in last summer's 2024 Summer Olympics:
Bennett Andersen is the fourth to earn the NCAA Elite 90 Award and be part of a national title men's basketball team. The award goes to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the NCAA Championships final site.
Two were part Florida's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field title teams:
Two won NCAA Individual titles:
Trent Brown completed course work to become a Gator grad after playing in the NFL since 2015. He is currently a member of the Houston Texans.
