Florida TV Assignment Set for ACC-SEC Challenge vs. Virginia Tech

The Gators have been slated to play Virginia Tech for the first time since 2014 as part of the 2025 ACC-SEC Women's Basketball Challenge.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.– ESPN has announced the network schedule for the third annual ACC-SEC Challenge on Wednesday. The slate features Florida women's basketball at Virginia Tech on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. on ESPN2. This marks UF's third year participating in the challenge, where they boast a 2-0 record.
The Gators defeated Georgia Tech 68-58 in 2023 and more recently, defeated Clemson 77-64 in 2024. Florida will look to defend their undefeated record in the ACC-SEC Challenge as they travel to Blacksburg, Va.
Overall, Florida holds a 3-1 record over the Hokies in their respective history. The most recent meeting between the Gators and VT dates back to 2014, where Florida won 73-44 at home. The Gators only loss against the Hokies was an away matchup in 2013, falling 71-59 in Blacksburg.
The Women's Challenge is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 3 and Thursday, Dec. 4. Both challenges will feature games across ESPN networks: ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and ACC Network. All games from the Challenge will also be available on the ESPN app.
