Women’s Cross Country Climbs in USTFCCCA Polls

The Gator Women jump in national and regional rankings.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Women's Cross Country team surged to No. 3 in the week two national rankings, USTFCCCA announced Tuesday.
The Gators jumped nine spots from last week's poll following a dominant performance at the Gans Creek Classic, where they secured a first-place team finish ahead of nine nationally ranked programs. Four Gators placed in the top 10 individually, led by Judy Chepkoech (7), Tia Wilson (8), Hilda Olemomoi (9), and Desma Chepkoech (10).
In addition to their national rise, Florida claimed the No. 1 ranking in the USTFCCCA South Region, overtaking Alabama for the top spot.
On the men's side, Florida currently holds the No. 8 position in the South Region, despite remaining unranked nationally.
The Gators will return to Columbia, Mo. for their final regular-season meet at the Pre-Nationals Invitational.
