Cross Country Nabs USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

Three Gators earn a spot on the USTFCCCA All-Academic list with both men and women’s teams earning an accolade apiece.
NEW ORLEANS, La.– Three individuals and both men's and women's cross country programs earned All-Academic honors, the USTFCCCA announced Thursday.
Hilda Olemomoi, Claire Stegall and Judy Chepkoech earned individual accolades for their top-25 finishes at the NCAA Regional Championships and the NCAA Championship. In addition, the team was recognized for capturing first place at the NCAA Regional Championships, finishing fifth at the NCAA Championship, and posting a cumulative semester GPA of 3.34.
The men's team was honored for their cumulative 3.38 team GPA following their seventh place finish at the NCAA Regional Championship.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
