Monroy’s Platform Sweep and Agundez Mora’s Program Record Highlights Day Three of NCAA Zones
Tuesday, March 10, 2026 | Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving
ATHENS, Ga. – Florida diving had a strong showing on Day Three of the 2026 NCAA Zone B Diving Championships, with all six Gators advancing to Tuesday's finals and four earning NCAA Championship spots, highlighted by Camyla Monroy sweeping the women's platform event and Jesus Agundez Mora breaking the program's men's 3-meter record with a 447.10 in finals.
With her first-place finish, Monroy secured NCAA qualification in all three diving events for the third straight season. Casey Greenberg and Alexa Fung will also represent Florida in Atlanta next week, with Greenberg making her second-straight NCAA appearance on platform and Fung making her NCAA debut on 1-meter.
On the men's side, Agundez Mora, Conor Gesing, and Jesus Gonzalez advanced to the 3-meter finals, with Agundez Mora and Gesing earning top-six finishes to both secure springboard spots. Gonzalez has a chance to qualify in all three events with a top-seven finish on platform tomorrow, having placed in the top 12 in both the 1-meter and 3-meter.
Women's Platform
All three Gators competing advanced to the finals, with Monroy continued her platform success from SEC Championships to Zones. The junior sweept the event after finishing with a combined score of 649.00. She led the field after posting a 320.00 in prelims and remained consistent through the finals, capping off her meet with a 73.60 on her final dive, a Back 2 ½ Somersault 1 ½ Twist Pike, to secure first place. Greenberg punched her ticket as well, earning the final platform qualifying spot with a combined score of 530.25. The junior secured her NCAA spot with a 68.15 on her final dive, a Forward 2 1/2 Somersault 1 Twist Pike, to finish seventh overall and qualify for the second NCAA Championships of her career.
Making her Zones debut, Ava Brinkman also advanced to the platform final after finishing 11th in the preliminary round (234.35). The freshman improved in the finals, totaling 486.10 across her five dives to move up two spots and finish ninth overall, just shy of the top-seven qualifying positions. Her top score of the final came on a Back 2 1/2 Somersault Pike, where she posted a 59.45.
Men's 3-Meter
Agundez Mora built on his fourth-place preliminary finish with strong scores on his final three dives (78.20, 85.50, and 79.90), finishing fourth overall with a combined score of 859.20. His total of 447.10 on the final six dives sets a new program record. Gesing, who was seventh in the prelims, opened with a 74.40 on his Forward 3 1/2 Somersault Pike and closed with a 79.90 on his Forward 2 1/2 Somersault 2 Twist Pike, moving up to sixth place with a total of 806.75. Gonzalez entered the finals in sixth place but narrowly missed the top-six qualifying spots, finishing eighth with 800.20 points.

On the women's platform performances…
"Day 3 didn't disappoint. Camyla not only qualifying on all three events for the third straight year, but doing it with a win on platform shows she is gaining confidence with every list. That's a great sign leading into NCAAs. Freshman Ava Brinkman making the finals and raising her level was also great to see. And for the second year in a row, Casey nails her last dive to qualify for NCAAs. That was really special. A well-deserved accomplishment for her as a senior. Having 3 women divers qualify against the quality of competition in our zone is tremendous. We got the job done here but the prize is next week in Atlanta. We are far from finished."
On the men's performances in a competitive diving field…
"The men's contest today as well as yesterday's one meter event, was the best diving I've seen in my 15 years coming to this zone meet. The level is incredible. Last year's winning score on one meter would have placed 11th yesterday. For our men to be on top in a field like this speaks volumes about our team. Agundez and Conor both getting automatic spots again, with only six openings, was a huge accomplishment in this contest. Unfortunately, the Gators taking 1/3rd of the spots left Gonzalez just outside, but with platform, his best event tomorrow we are confident he'll hey the job done there. Our job isn't done here."
