GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men's swimming & diving program welcomes fly and free specialist Zoltan Bagi to Gainesville for the 2026–27 academic year.
"Zoltan is a talented swimmer with strong international experience," said Florida's Head Coach Anthony Nesty. "We're excited to add him to our program and look forward to having him here in Gainesville."
From Tiszaújváros, Hungary, Bagi arrives in Gainesville with noteworthy performances at the national and international levels, highlighted by a gold-medal finish in the 100m butterfly at the 2023 European Junior Swimming Championships. For his performance, Bagi earned an official diploma from European Aquatics recognizing his exceptional achievement.
Most recently, at the 2025 Hungarian Short Course Championships in Debrecen, Hungary, Bagi set a Hungarian 17-year-old age-group record in the men's 50m freestyle with a time of 21.85, finishing fifth overall.
Bagi becomes the fourth newcomer to join the men's team since the program announced its initial signees last November. At that time, Santi Alzate, Liam Smith and Tai Pearson committed to the 2026-27 season.
