No. 7 Gators, Francisco lead into final round of Gators Invitational

Florida is 14-under and leads by 12-shots as UF golfers sit first through fourth led by Paula Francisco at 7-under.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 7 Florida women's golf team sits 14-under and own a 12-shot lead as Paula Francisco (-7) is the solo leader behind her second round 65 (-5) at the 54th Gators Invitational on Saturday at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
Florida logged the low round of the day again with a 275 (-4) to produce a 36-hole score of 546 (-14) and own a 12-stroke lead over second-place and No. 12 North Carolina (-2). UF pushed out in front of the field behind a bogey-free 4-under stretch across holes 14-18. The Gators tee off tomorrow's final round at 9 a.m. paired with the Tar Heels and third-place Virginia (-1).
A win tomorrow for UF, would mark the fourth this season and 28th all-time at the Gators Invitational, including 10 of the last 11 seasons.
For the second consecutive day a UF golfer tied for the second-lowest round in program history with a 65 (-5). Today it came from Francisco, who set a new career-low for the second time this season. The junior started off her second round with three straight birdies and finished with back-to-back on holes 16 and 17. She looks to capture her first collegiate win tomorrow and become the 12th Gator to win the home event and back-to-back for the first time since 2007-08.
One-shot behind Francisco sits sophomore Siuue Wu at 6-under. She logged a round of 69 (-1) and contributed to the 4-under finish with birdies on 15 and 17. Wu leads the field in birdies (11) and tied in par-4 scoring (3.80, -4) while also in contention for her first college victory.
Florida features players in first-through-fourth place with Elaine Widjaja next in solo third at 4-under. The sophomore shot a round two of 67 (-3) for her fifth under par round of the season. Freshman Katelyn Huber is two strokes back at 2-under through 36-holes in T4.
Megan Propeck contributed to the counting score today with a 70 (E) and is tied for 13th as Addison Klonowski rounds out the lineup in T19.
Junior Sophie Stevens finished under par today with a 69 (-1) an improvement of seven-shots from her opening round. She made three birdies, including back-to-back on holes nine and ten.
