Scott Stricklin and Jeremy Foley join championship banner ceremony as program extends SEC-leading legacy

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Gators women's cross country team celebrated its 2025 Southeastern Conference championship Wednesday afternoon at the Jeremy Foley Hall of Champions.

Attendees watched as the program unveiled its eighth conference championship banner, while members of the athletic department highlighted the university's 267th SEC title.

"Everyone's fingerprints in this room are all over this trophy because nobody does it by themselves," said former athletic director Jeremy Foley. "You ladies that have won this most recent championship, congratulations to you, and to Coach Palmer, congratulations to you."

With the title, Florida extended its lead as the conference's most successful program to more than 100 championships. The victory also continues the Gators' streak of winning at least one SEC title for 48 consecutive seasons, the longest active streak among all league programs.
