The Gators and Hurricanes will square off on Sept. 9.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators volleyball is set to welcome the Miami Hurricanes to the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on Wednesday, Sept. 9 as a part of ESPN's SEC vs. ACC "Showdown at the Net" Challenge.
"This two-day challenge featuring SEC and ACC volleyball teams will showcase some of the country's finest student-athletes," said SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. "It creates a platform to expand the sport's reach and deliver a memorable experience for competitors and fans alike. We thank Shriners Children's and ESPN for supporting this outstanding competition and providing the opportunity for continued growth and greater visibility for college volleyball."
Florida owns a 3-0 all-time record over Miami, including a 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16) sweep in second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament in which the Hurricanes were held to just a .053 hitting percentage.

Start times and broadcast assignments for the on-campus matches will be announced at a later date. The challenge also features a double-header on Wednesday, Sept. 9, as Tennessee will face Pittsburg and Texas A&M takes on Stanford. Those two matches will take place at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex – State Farm Field House at Walt Disney World Resort in Kissimmee, Fla.
