Shumaker Named to U.S. Women’s National Team Athlete Pool

OKLAHOMA CITY – Florida softball sophomore Taylor Shumaker has earned a spot in the U.S. Women's National Team (WNT) Athlete Pool, USA Softball announced Tuesday.
Shumaker joins fellow Gators Jocelyn Erickson and Skylar Wallace in the 36-member athlete pool. Amanda Lorenz, who was originally named to the WNT Athlete Pool in April, is currently on leave while expecting her first child.
The WNT Athlete Pool will be used to select the 2026 USA Softball Women's National Team, which will compete at the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Cup Group Stage and the 2026 USA Softball International Cup.
The pool will also serve as the foundation for the program throughout the 2025-28 Olympic quadrennial.
