Skye Blakely Wins Two U.S. Classic Event Titles

HARTFORD, Conn. — Florida rising junior All-American Skye Blakely won both events she competed in Saturday evening at the U.S. Classic at the PeoplesBank Arena.
Blakely claimed gold on uneven bars with a score of 14.10 and balance beam with a 14.25. She was the only gymnast among Saturday's 21 competitors who competed during the 2026 NCAA season and the only competitor to score above 14.00 in two events.
Three other gymnasts with Gators ties competed Saturday. UF graduate Leanne Wong competed only on balance beam due to an arm injury suffered earlier in the week while preparing for the U.S. Classic. She modified her routine to avoid putting her hands on the beam and earned a score of 11.90.
Two gymnasts who signed with the Gators in November — Dulcy Caylor and Simone Rose — also competed Saturday. Rose claimed bronze on uneven bars with a 13.60. She withdrew from floor exercise after competing in the first three events. Caylor finished 15th in the all-around with a score of 47.95.
Reese Esponda won the all-around (54.90) and floor exercise (13.95) titles. Jade Carey posted the evening's top individual vault mark of 14.30.
