  • Swam a 1:45.22 second leg of the 800 free relay that placed 17th with a combined swim of 7:00.97, which is the seventh-best swim in UF history
  • Placed 23rd in the 200 IM with a swim of 1:56.94
  • Swam the final leg of the 400 free relay with a split of 49.35 as the team posted a combined swim of 3:16.56 and finished with the 23rd-fastest time  
SEC Championships
  • Finished fourth in the 400 IM with a mark of 4:06.21
  • Led off the 800 free relay with a split of 1:45.24 as the team combined for an effort of 7:01.32 and placed sixth, her 200 split is a career best
  • Recorded a personal-best time with her lead-off split of 49.42 in the 400 free as the team placed sixth with a combined swim of 3:15.58, which is the ninth-fastest time in program history
  • Placed second in the B Final, 10th overall, in the 200 IM with a career-best swim of 1:55.46, which ranks fourth in UF history

NCAA Championships
  • Qualified for the 2018 NCAA Championships, swimming in the 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 breast and 800 FR
  • Finished 18th overall in the 400 IM with a time of 4:07.89
  • Helped Florida’s 800 FR (7:05.10) to a 22nd-place finish, swimming a split of 1:46.26
  • Posted a career-best time of 1:56.84 to finish 21st overall in the 200 IM
  • Finished 48th in the 200 breast with a time of 2:12.96. Swam a personal-best time of 2:12.92 in the prelim
SEC Championships
  • Competed at the 2018 SEC Championships, scoring points in three of her events

  • Qualified for the 2017 NCAA Championships, finishing 29th in the 400 IM (4:11.40), 43rd in the 200 IM (1:59.24), 52nd in the 200 breast (2:12.92) and 21st in the 800 free relay (7:06.85)
SEC Championships
  • Swam at the 2017 SEC Championships, finishing fourth in the 400 IM B-final (4:10.01), seventh in the 200 IM B-final (1:58.67), 30th in the 200 breast (2:16.03), eighth in the 200 medley relay (1:39.03), eighth in the 800 free relay (7:06.87), ninth in the 400 medley relay (3:37.15) and ninth in the 400 free relay (3:18.26)
Regular Season
  • Totaled four individual (one in LCM) and one relay win on the season
  • Posted Florida’s top times in the 200 breast (2:12.92 at the NCAA Championships) and 200 IM (1:57.60 at the Last Chance Meet)

NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:
  • Competed at the 2019 Phillips 66 National Championships and posted career-best times in all three events she swam (200 IM, 400 IM and 200 free) while capturing a bronze medal as a member of the 4x200 FR team, swimming the final leg in a time of 2:01.77
  • Participated in the 2017 US Open Swimming Championships, racing in the 200m and 400m free events, as well as the 200m and 400m IM
  • Qualified for the championship A final in the 200m IM, posting a time of 2:17.48 to finish eighth overall
  • Also qualified for the B final in the 400m IM, finishing with a time of 4:50.89
  • Finished the 200m free with a time of 2:07.69 and posted a time of 4:25.40 in the 400m free
  • Competed for Team USA at the 2017 Maccabiah Games, bringing home seven medals
  • She earned five gold medals, four of which were individual, and two silver medals, one of which was individual
  • Fertel placed in the top eight competitors in each of her eight races
  • Started off the week with a silver medal in the 200m backstroke, posting a time of 2:17.62
  • Finished fifth in the 100m free final later that day, finishing with a time of 57.31
  • Won her first gold at the games on Day 2, winning the 400m IM with a time of 4:45.54, a Maccabiah Games record
  • On Day 3, she picked up another gold medal, winning the 400m free with a time of 4:18.19
  • On the final day, she earned two more individual gold medals in the 200m IM and 800m free
  • Posted a time of 2:15.03 in the in the 200m IM and a time of 8:57.21 in the 800m free race
  • Fertel also won a gold medal with the 4x200m freestyle relay and a silver in the 4x100m free relay.
