Overview
  • Graduated with his bachelor’s in telecommunications in 2018, then returned to complete his Master’s in sport management in 2024.
  • Scored 861 points in two seasons at Florida and 1,376 in his four-year career.
  • Second-most points scored at Florida by an incoming transfer, second only to fellow Virginia Tech transfer Dorian Finney-Smith, who scored 1,220 in three seasons (2013-16).
  • The Gators’ leading scorer his first season in Gainesville, averaging 15.5 points while shooting .404 from 3-point range and .455 from the floor.
  • The first Gator to win SEC Player of the Week three times in a season.
  • Played 67 games at Virginia Tech with 27 starts, averaging 7.7 points over two seasons in Blacksburg.
  • Brings good length and pure scoring ability to the perimeter.

2018-19, Senior Season
  • Averaged 9.3 points per game during his senior season, third on the team. After scoring just 6.3 points per game through the first 22 games, Hudson bounced back to average 13.9 over the final 14 games, highest on the team over that stretch.
  • Exploded for 33 points vs. LSU, including 25 of Florida’s final 28 points over the last 13 minutes of regulation. In one stretch, Hudson scored 16 straight Florida points.
  • Named MVP of the Orange Bowl Classic with 14 points. Hudson hit 4 3-pointers, 3 of which came as part of a 15-0 Florida run in the 1st half.
  • Scored 15 at Tennessee and followed that up with another double-figure performance with 10 points vs. Vanderbilt.
  • Dropped in 12 of his 15 points during the 1st half in the win at #13 LSU.
2017-18, Junior Season
  • The Gators’ leading scorer at 15.5 points per game and hit a team-high 78 3-pointers.
  • Had eight 20-point games, including a career-high 35 points, including 8-for-12 from 3-point range, in Florida’s 2OT win vs. Gonzaga.
  • Became the first Gator to win SEC Player of the Week three times in a season.
  • Had 13 games with at least three 3-pointers made and scored in double digits 28 times in 34 games.
  • Had a massive final week of the regular season, scoring 27 points in the win at Alabama and 22 on Senior Day against Kentucky, earning SEC co-Player of the Week honors.
  • Earned his SEC co-Player of the Week honor after leading UF with 17 points in the win at Kentucky on the heels of a 21-point night vs. Arkansas. He is the first Gator since Scottie Wilbekin and Michael Frazier II in 2013-14 to win multiple SEC weekly honors.
  • Scored five points during UF’s 7-0 run over the final 1:10 to win at Missouri. Finished the game with a team-high 16 points off the bench.
  • Dropped 35 points vs. Gonzaga after being limited to four points in four minutes in the first half due to foul trouble. His eight 3-pointers tied for third-most in a game in Florida history. He then posted a double-double vs. Duke (24/10) and earned SEC Player of the Week and PK80 All-Tournament Team honors.
  • Exploded for 26 points off the bench in Florida’s win vs. New Hampshire, scoring 22 in the second half. Followed that up by scoring all 17 points vs. Stanford within the first 13 minutes of the game, tallying 39 points over 33 minutes of game play.
  • Got his UF career off to a quick start with 16 points in the season opener.

2016-17, Redshirt Season
  • Sat out under NCAA transfer rules.
  • Regularly played the role of the opponent’s top perimeter player on the Gators’ scout team.

2015-16, Sophomore Season (VT)
  • Scored 293 points (8.4 avg.), fourth on the Hokies.
  • Posted three 20-point performances, with a season-best 28 points in an overtime victory against Princeton in the NIT. Hudson also tallied 27 vs. Louisville and 23 against North Carolina State.
  • Made multiple 3-pointers in eight games, including a 3-for-4 game from long range at Pittsburgh.
  • Started 24 of his 35 appearances after totaling three starts as a freshman.
  • Shot .500 or better from the field in 14 games.
 
2014-15, Freshman Season (VT)
  • Scored 222 points (6.9 avg.), fourth on the team despite starting only three of his 32 appearances.
  • Poured in a career-high 32 points in an ACC Tournament victory vs. Wake Forest, shooting 10-for-10 at the free throw line. Also posted 23 points against a fourth-ranked Duke team.
  • Had six games with double-figure scoring.
  • Shot .479 from the field and went .500 or better in 15 games.
 
Prep
  • Won two letters at St. Vincent-St. Mary after transferring from Benedictine High School in Richmond prior to his junior year.
  • Averaged 18.0 ppg and 5.5 rpg in his senior season.
  • Named to the Division II All-Ohio and Northeast Inland District first teams as a senior.
  • Helped lead his team to the D-II state finals as a junior, and semifinals as a senior.
