SUMMER (2016): Played for the Falmouth Commodores in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League...The Commodores finished second in the Collegiate Summer Baseball Rankings...Heated up late in the summer with a 12-game hit streak and finished with a .305 average (32-for-105) with four doubles, three home runs and 18 RBI...Hit .406 (13-for-32) in eight playoff games...Helped Falmouth advance to the Championship Series of the playoffs.
HIGH SCHOOL: Infielder from Oviedo High School who played for head coach Jason Foss…Was chosen in the 39th round of the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft by the New York Yankees at No. 1,173 overall…Was the Class 7A Player of the Year, the Orlando Sentinel Player of the Year and the Class 7A Florida Dairy Farmers Player of the Year…Member of the First-Team All-USA Today Florida Baseball Team…Ranked as the No. 11 shortstop in the state of Florida by Perfect Game…Batted .473 with 33 runs, 16 RBI, 13 doubles, four homers and two triples in his final prep season as the Lions captured their first state title…Went 4-for-7 with a walk, two steals and two runs in the Final Four as Oviedo (25-5) won the Class 7A state championship with a 7-0 run through the playoffs…Liput was an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American and was named to the Florida All-Region Second Team by Rawlings/Perfect Game prior to his senior year…Participated in the 2015 Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-Star Game…Was a 2014 Perfect Game Underclass Third-Team All-American and a 2013 Perfect Game Underclass High Honorable Mention All-American.
