CAREER: Transferred to UF from California in July 2010 and redshirted the 2010 season.
PRIOR TO FLORIDA: Chris Martin played linebacker at Grandview High School… For three years, he tallied over 100 tackles per year… In his senior year Martin had 110 tackles, 20 for a loss of yards and four sacks… During his junior year he had 40 tackles for losses… Martin was part of the All-State selection as a sophomore because of his 110 tackles, four sacks, three forced fumbles and two interceptions… He was honored as an Army All-American as well as the top rated player in Colorado… Rated No. 18 among the nations Top 100 prospects by Rivals.com… Interested in Oklahoma, California, USC and Notre Dame… Transferred from the University of California-Berkeley to become a Gator… High school coach was John Schultz.
