With Cronin directing the program's analytics, Florida reached the College World Series in Omaha in back-to-back seasons from 2023-24. That culminated with a program-record 54 wins and an SEC Championship in 2023.
Cronin is responsible for collecting, organizing and providing a vast array of performance-related data and analysis for the coaching staff and players alike. This involves tracking pitch speeds, horizontal and vertical break, exit velocities, launch angles, sprint speeds and more. He also works to identify various trends in data as it relates to both the opposition and current Gators players. Additionally, Cronin oversees internal video scouting for the program.
As a native of Gainesville, Fla., Cronin graduated from Gainesville High School in 2013 and went on to attend the University of Florida. During his time as an undergraduate, he served as a student manager on Head Coach Kevin O’Sullivan’s staff. Before latching on in player development and data analysis with the Florida Gators baseball program, he worked as a baseball operations intern at the University Athletic Association.
