2020-21, Freshman Season
- The 2021-22 season marked Merritt’s second season of collegiate competition.
- Tabbed to All-SEC Freshman Team.
- Hybrid wing player who has great feel for the game and really closed her freshman season strong.
- Ended season as third-leading scorer for the Gators, averaging 10.1 points per game
- Competed in 27 games, starting in 19, averaging 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 09. blocks per game
- Scored a career-high 23 point with perfect 6-of-6 performance at the free throw line against Missouri (2/27)
- Tallied double figures scoring in 14 contests for the Gators
- Put together a double-double performance against Towson with 18 points and 11 rebounds (11/12)
- Also scored 18 points to go along with five rebounds against Georgia on Jan. 2
- Pulled down 10 rebounds in a season-high 36 minutes of action against Ole Miss (1/6)
- Recorded four steals on two separate occasions against TCU (12/5) and LSU (1/23)
- Swatted 23 shots during the year, including three against Towson (11/12) and Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament (3/3)
- Knocked down a career-best five triples in a double overtime victory over Texas A&M on Jan. 9
- Led the Gators in scoring four times and rebounding five times in the 2021-22 campaign
2020-21, Freshman Season
- Invited to the U19 USA National Team Trials in Denver, Colo. following season.
- Tabbed to All-SEC Freshman Team.
- Averaged 6.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game during her rookie campaign.
- Tallied four double-figure scoring games and played over 30 minutes six times.
- Started UF’s final 10 games, averaging 7.5 points per game over that span.
- The 6-foot-3 forward ranked top 10 among SEC freshmen in scoring, minutes played and rebounding.
- Named the SEC Freshman of the Week on Feb. 23 after recording 12 points and a career-high nine boards at Missouri.
- Nabbed first double-double if UF's win over Charlotte (3/19/21) in WNIT with season-best 17 points to go with season-best 18 rebounds.
- Scored 16 points and added six boards on 6-of-10 shooting against Georgia (2/28/21).
- Notched 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor against North Florida (12/21/20).
- Earned first career start at Florida State (12/1/20), adding five points including a pair of treys.
- Posted eight points in collegiate debut against Grambling State (11/25/20).
- Signed with the Gators on Nov. 13, 2019 during the early signing period.
- Tabbed a five-star recruit and the nation's No. 27 overall player by ESPN HoopGurlz.
- Earned a 97 overall scouts grade from ESPN and was the No. 4 player in the state of Texas
- Highest-ranked recruit to sign with Florida since 2013.
- Became just the second player in program history (joining Lavender Briggs in 2019) to be named to the Jordan Brand Classic roster.
- Starred for Plano High School, amassing over 1,500 career points.
- As a sophomore, she helped guide Plano to its first-ever 6A State Championship finishing the season with averages of 13.7 points and 7.4 rebounds.
- Tabbed the Dallas Morning News SportsDay High School All-Area Girls Basketball Player of the Year and to the All-USA Texas Girls Basketball Team that same season.
- As a junior, averaged a double-double at 18 points and 10 rebounds per game and was tabbed to the USA Today First-Team All-Texas.
- Sustained a knee injury in November of her senior season; before her season-ending injury, Merritt helped guide the Lady Wildcats to a 6-0 record and the No. 9 ranking in Class 6A by the TABC.
- Also has experience competing on the national stage having been invited to the 2018 U17 US National Team trails and having participated in the 2018 USA Basketball 3x3 National Championships.
