- Posted a career-high 25 points and nine rebounds against #13 Baylor in the NIT Tip-Off.
- Led Florida with 22 points in the win vs. #12 Auburn, the most points by a Gator off the bench vs. a top-25 opponent since KeVaughn Allen's 24 vs. #12 Auburn on 2/24/18.
- Led five Gators in double figures with 20 points off the bench in the win vs. Arkansas.
- Added 24 points at Wake Forest, going 9-for-14 from the floor and 4-for-6 from 3, also claiming the SportsCenter #1 play with his breakaway poster slam dunk.
- Started the season with a bang vs. Loyola Maryland, becoming the first Gator in the 2000s to tally 23 points, six steals and a blocked shot in a game.
2022-23, Freshman Season
- Earned SEC All-Freshman honors as he averaged 9.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game, shooting .456 from the field and .376 from 3-point range.
- Averaged 12.6 points per game in SEC play, the most by a Florida freshman since Bradley Beal's 14.4 per game in 2011-12.
- His 10-game streak in double figures to close the season marked the longest by a UF freshman since Bradley Beal (10, 2011-12). Kugel averaged 17.3 points per game over that stretch.
- Became the first UF freshman with back-to-back 20-point games since Kenny Boynton (2009-10) with 24 vs. Kentucky and 20 at Vanderbilt.
- Scored a season-high 24 points vs. Kentucky, the most points by a Florida freshman in four years (Noah Locke, 27, 1/22/19 vs. Texas A&M) and the fourth-most over the last decade.
- Scored 14 points in the win vs. South Carolina, all in the second half.
- Scored 13 points in the win vs. #20 Missouri, including a pair of early 3-pointers that helped keep the Gators in the game.
- Had a huge +21 plus-minus in the win at LSU to go along with seven points, including a 3-pointer that opened up an eight-point lead in the second half.

- Second-team FABC All-State honoree in 2022, averaging 16.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists.
- Helped bring Dr. Phillips its first state championship in school history, scoring 13 points in the 2021 7A title game.
- Scored 27 points in the 2022 state semifinals, ultimately helping Dr. Phillips to a Class 7A state runner-up finish.
