COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Coached a pair of FAU defensive backs to Conference USA Honorable Mention honors in 2016
- Jalen Young posted 100 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery
- Raekwon Williams Jr. finished with nine pass breakups, 48 tackles and an interception
- Tutored cornerback Cre’von LeBlanc to C-USA Second Team honors in 2015 as he led the league with four interceptions
- Also in 2015, Young earned C-USA Honorable Mention honors after totaling three interceptions and 69 tackles
- After Bell coached D'Joun Smith in 2014 to 53 tackles, a team leading eight passes defended and one interception, Smith was a third round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts
- Prior to his arrival in 2011, American Senior High School had not won a district title since 1998
- Bell led the Patriots to three-straight District Championships during the only three years he was at the helm
- Bell was 25 years old when he was named Miami Edison High School's head coach in 1997
- That made him the youngest head coach in the state
- Edison finished the previous season (1996) 0-10, but it wasn’t long until Bell quickly built it into one of Dade County's top football programs
- His teams made five-consecutive state playoff appearances and won three-straight district titles
- During his tenure at Edison, Bell had 84 Division I signees and six All-Americans
- In addition, he was named the Miami Dolphins Coach of the Year in 2003, while his 2004 class earned a No. 3 national rank for Division I signees

Bell played football at South Carolina, where he graduated in 1995. As a two-year varsity letterman and starting cornerback, he played alongside current Gators assistant, Chris Rumph.
