A redshirt junior who is expected to play a top role at inside linebacker... Received the Most Improved Inside Linebacker Award this spring... Enters fall drills listed as the top backup to Keith Kelsey at the weakside linebacker spot... 23 career tackles... Has played in 19 regular season games with one start for 284 plays... Also played in 1998 Citrus Bowl and 1999 Orange Bowl... Moved to weakside linebacker last season after playing on the strong side and in the middle in 1997... 1998 - Played in each of UF's 11 regular season games for 145 plays... Also played in Orange Bowl... The top backup to Mike Peterson at weakside linebacker who also played with UF's special teams units... Seven tackles on the year... Seven special teams tackles ranked tied for sixth on squad... 1997 - Played in six of 11 games (Central Michigan, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina) with one start (Vanderbilt) for 98 plays... 16 tackles on the year... A backup at linebacker who also played with the special teams units... Spent most of year at strongside linebacker but was moved to middle linebacker due to injuries and started at that spot vs. Vanderbilt... Tore cartilage in his left knee in week four vs. Kentucky and missed Arkansas, LSU and Auburn games... Averaged 16.3 plays per game... Missed the season opener due to a knee injury suffered in the final week of fall drills... Returned to action vs. Central Michigan and made six tackles... Two tackles vs. Georgia... National Recruiting Advisor ranked him among the top seven players in the Southeast in its weakside LB category... First-team All-State (4A) selection... Palm Beach Post selected him the area's 1995 Defensive Player of the Year... Credited with 95 tackles, six quarterback sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 1995...Set school record for solo tackles... High school teammates with current Gators Reidel Anthony, Fred Taylor and Johnny Rutledge...
