Bryce Douglas

Bryce Douglas enters his fifth season at Florida after joining Mike White’s staff in 2017, serving as Director of Scouting for three seasons before moving into his current role in 2020.
 
The Gators have posted a 75-51 record during that time and earned NCAA Tournament appearances in 2018, 2019 and 2021, winning a game in all three tournaments.
During Douglas’ tenure, the Gators have competed against one of the nation’s most challenging schedules, playing a top-15 schedule in 20187-18 and 2018-19 and the SEC’s toughest slate in 2019-20. The Gators also played the SEC’s hardest non-conference schedule in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
 
Douglas came to UF after two seasons as an advance/analytics scout for the Phoenix Suns, where he assisted with opponent and self-scouting duties, on-court development and player evaluations. During summer league play, Douglas researched and presented scouting reports to the team.
 
While with the Suns, Douglas also worked at USA Basketball senior national teams mini camps.
 
Douglas previously was part of Duke’s support staff during the 2014-15 season when the Blue Devils won the national championship.
 
Douglas worked as an assistant coach at Division III Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., for two seasons 2011-13. The team compiled a 37-16 during Douglas’ time on staff.
 
The Tacoma, Wash., native also worked as a graduate assistant at the University of San Diego 2009-11, earning his M.A. in Leadership Studies.
 
Douglas is the son of Dave and Ginny Douglas and has one brother, Cole. He double majored in Psychology and Business at University of Puget Sound.
