- Walk-on who enrolled at UF in Summer 2011.
- First earned a spot on the dress roster for UF’s Nov. 16, 2013, game vs. Arkansas-Little Rock and remained on the dress roster the rest of his career.
- Brother, Lorenzo, played football at UF from 2007-10 and was part of the 2008 national championship team.
- Has always dreamed of attending UF because his grandfather, aunt and brother all attended.
- Awarded academic scholarship and felt attending Florida would challenge him academically.
- Graduated in Spring 2015 with a B.S. in Sociology and enrolled in the Sport Management Master’s program in Fall 2015.
2014-15, Redshirt Junior Season
- Appeared in 10 games and recorded five rebounds and an assist.
- His assist came on an alley-oop pass to Chris Walker that was featured on SportsCenter’s Top 10.
2013-14, Redshirt Sophomore Season
- Earned a spot on the dress roster and saw his first action against UALR and recorded one rebound.
- Ultimately saw action in 11 games, including the regular season finale vs. Kentucky that clinched a perfect 18-0 SEC record for the Gators.
2012-13
- Did not compete.
2011-12, Freshman Season
- Practiced but did not dress for any games.
Prep
- Team captain who was named the team’s defensive player of the year.
- Helped Jones to 3A state runner-up finish in 2010-11.
- Coached by Jerry Howard.
- Also played wide receiver, running back and linebacker on the football team.
Personal
- The son of Lorenzo and Letecia Edwards.
- Brothers are Robert Scott II and Lorenzo Edwards III.
- Lorenzo played football at UF from 2007-10 and was part of the 2008 national championship team.
