FALL OF 2007 Had a 9-5 record in singles play during the fall and went 2-1 on the doubles courts…Advanced to the Division II quarterfinals with three wins to open the season at the Southern Intercollegiate…Earned his way into the B draw consolation semifinals at the Seminole Invitational in Tallahassee during the last event of the fall…Teamed with Nestor Briceno on the doubles courts and picked up a pair of wins.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07 Earned a 10-12 singles record and went 3-6 in dual matches…Posted a 15-13 doubles mark and was 12-10 overall…Made nine appearances on the number six singles court (3-6) and paired with Nestor Briceno for the majority of the year at the number three doubles position (9-5)…Also, teamed with Dan Cash in doubles and went 3-1 on court three…15 wins on the doubles courts in dual matches were the third-highest on the squad…All three singles match victories came in duals against Southeastern Conference opponents.
FALL OF 2006 Ended the fall with a 6-5 singles record and went 3-2 in doubles…Recorded four singles wins at the Bollettieri Invitational…Teamed with Shaun Young on the doubles courts and had the third-highest win total in doubles by any UF player and the most among first-year Gator players.
PREP Career-high ITF singles ranking was No. 361, which he worked his way up to in 2005…Was ranked the No. 1 player in Costa Rica, where he was born.
