
Timini and Nirundorn Travel to Penn State for Holmes Cathrall Memorial Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Freshman Andreas Timini and Senior Tanapatt Nirundorn are representing the Gators in the Holmes Cathrall Memorial Invitational hosted by Penn State.
This will be Timini and Nirundorn's first tournament since the ITA All-American Championships in which they both played as singles and Nirundorn played doubles with Henry Jefferson.
At the ITA All-Americans, Timini amassed a 2-2 record playing in both the Pre-Qualifiers and Qualifier rounds of the tournament.
In the singles portion of the ITA All-Americans, Nirundorn had a 2-1 record. However, for doubles, he and Jefferson competed into semifinals, earning an automatic qualification for the NCAA tournament in November.
The Holmes Cathrall Memorial Invitational will take place over the course of three days, starting on Friday, Oct. 3. The tournament's schedule is set up to have a round of eight doubles matches, followed by 16 singles matches (two rounds of eight) and end with another round of eight doubles matches for Friday. Saturday will be the opposite with 16 single matches (two rounds of eight), eight doubles matches and end with another set of 16 singles matches. Finally, Sunday will have eight doubles matches to start and then end with 16 singles matches (two rounds of eight).
The draws, schedule and scores for the matches will all be updated on the ITA Website each day and the first matches will be played at 8 a.m. EST every day this weekend.
