  • Recorded a career-best five-game hitting streak Feb. 8-14, spanning the Gators’ final three games at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament and their first two contests at the Easton Desert Classic
  • Hit her first two home runs during a doubleheader against Maryland and Radford on March 2 during the final day of the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic in Orlando
  • Slugged a grand slam March 22 during Florida’s win over Alabama
  • Provided the winning runs on April 9 at Florida State with a two-run pinch-hit home run off All-American Lacey Waldrop
  • Knocked three of her six doubles on the season during the NCAA Tournament (May 17 vs. Stetson, May 28 vs. Baylor, June 3 vs. Alabama)
  • Batted a team-best .556 (5x9) during the Gators’ five games at the Women’s College World Series
  • Had three hits (3x4) with two runs scored, a home run and two RBI on May 30 as Florida defeated No. 1 seed Oregon to stay in the winner’s bracket at the WCWS

  • Castro’s seven RBI were also the most in a game for a single player in the SEC in 2012
  • Had four multi-hit and multi-RBI games her freshman year
  • Her pinch hit home run on a 3-2 count propelled the Gators to the 2012 SEC Tournament Championship Game
  • One of just 14 SEC players to hit a grand slam in 2012, contributing to the Gators’ three on the year
