- Participated in the 2017 US Open Swimming Championships, swimming in the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle events
- On the first day of racing, he finished with a 15:48.17 in the 1500m race and swam a 4:01.14 in the 400m free, finishing 46th overall
- He swam a 8:19.55 in the 800m on the final day of competition to finish 34th overall
- Competed at the 2017 Phillips 66 National Championships, racing in the 400m, 800m and 1500m free races
- Finished 47th in the 1500m free with a time of 16:26.36 and placed 48th in the 800m free with a time of 8:27.75...His time of 4:05.81 in the 400m free was good for 66th place overall in field...Participated in the 2016 Olympic Trials, recording a time of 15:58.33 in the 1500m free, good for 74th place.
