Kristen enters her fourth season as an assistant Swim Coach for the Gators, working primarily with the women’s team. She comes to Florida after two seasons as an assistant swimming coach at the University of Pittsburgh.
In her three years at Florida, Murslack has helped coached the women’s back-to-back SEC Championship sweeps in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, she has been part of developing 15 SEC Champions and three NCAA Championship Titles (two individuals, one relay).
During the 2024 season, Murslack was part of developing 12 All-Americans at the women’s NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga. The women concluded their historic season run with a third-place finish at NCAA’s to mark the programs best finish in 14 years.
While at Pitt she helped coach the individual medley and butterfly swimmers, along with helping with the middle-distance group. Individually, swimmer Blaise Vera earned CSCAA All-America honors at the end of the campaign, while Murslack directly contributed to personal-best times posted by several Panthers, including ACC championship finalists Samy Helmbacher and Eben Vorster. During the 2020-2021 season, Murslack was a part of developing 2 NCAA All-Americans at the Men’s NCAA Championships. In addition to her coaching duties, Murslack also served as Pitt’s primary contact for women’s recruiting.
Murslack, who swam for Auburn from 2013-17 and earned SEC Honor Roll accolades twice, most recently served as a graduate assistant for her alma mater’s women’s soccer program. Additionally, she spent time as an intern with Auburn swimming & diving, one of the top programs in the SEC. While competing at Auburn, Murslack was named team captain, while helping the Tigers post a top-15 team finish at the NCAA Championships.
A native of Gibsonia, Pa., and a graduate of Pine-Richland, Murslack previously served as a coach for Pine-Richland Aquatics Club and at Pine-Richland High School in 2017 following her graduation from Auburn with a degree in education. During that time, she helped several athletes qualify for the WPIAL Championships at Trees Pool and the state championships on the high school and club levels.
