Cynthia Jordan is entering her fourth season with the Gators in 2025-26, and has helped lead Florida to the postseason in each of her first three years in Gainesville, playing in the WNIT in 2023, and the WBIT in 2024 and 2025..
In 2025, the Gators upended No. 20 Alabama on their way to a berth in the SEC Quarterfinals, and went on to win their first three games in the WBIT before falling to Minnesota in the semis. In 2026, Florida posted its fifth consecutive winning season, knocking off No. 19/20 Ole Miss in the process.
Over the past four seasons, Jordan assisted in the recruiting and development of a trio of McDonald's All-American's in Liv McGill, Me'Arah O'Neal and Laila Reynolds. McGill was a preseason All-SEC Second Team selection in 2025-26, and was named to the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award Midseason Watch List. McGill and O'Neal also each earned SEC Player of the Week honors in 2025-26.
Jordan joined the Gators coaching staff after serving as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations at South Carolina for 10 seasons.
As the director of operations with the perennial powerhouse Gamecocks, Jordan coordinated all team activities, including all aspects of the team’s travel arrangements. She was also responsible for communicating all scheduling items to the team and served as the program’s liaison with various other areas within the athletics department.
Prior to serving as the director of operations, Jordan acted as the video coordinator for the Gamecocks from 2008-2011. As the video coordinator, Jordan was responsible for taping games and practices, breaking down film and coordinating the ongoing video needs of the coaching staff. As a GA at Temple, she began working with editing opponent films for the coaching staff while also evaluating high school prospect videos. She began her career in collegiate athletics as a graduate assistant at Temple in 2007
On the court, Jordan was a four-year letter winner for Temple women’s basketball under head coach Dawn Staley before playing professionally overseas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing in 2004 and her master’s degree in sports and recreation administration in 2009, both from Temple.
