Nick McDonald enters his fourth season with the Gators. He joined the Gators in 2022 as a personnel analyst and was promoted by Head Coach Billy Napier to assistant director of player personnel prior to the 2023 season. Going into the 2024 season, McDonlad was elevated to director of player personnel.

He spent the four prior seasons (2017-21) with Billy Napier at Louisiana and held the role of recruiting quality control. McDonald helped the Ragin' Cajuns land the No. 1 recruiting class in the Sun Belt for three consecutive years (2019-21).

McDonald joined the UL staff after spending three years (2015-17) as a recruiting specialist at University of Alabama where he graduated from in 2017 with a degree in commerce and business administration.
