Joshua Thompson enters his fourth season with Florida after being named the director of football operations prior to the 2022 season.
In his role, Thompson is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspect of the football program. During his first year with the Gators, Thompson played an integral role overseeing the team's transition to the new James W. “Bill” Heavener Football Training Center.
Prior to Florida, he worked for the Auburn University football program as the director of football operations. Prior to that, Thompson served as the executive director of recruiting and player personnel at the University of Arkansas from 2019-20.
Thompson also worked in recruiting, personnel and operations at Texas A&M from 2010-17. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, he graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelors of science in sports management and a masters of science in sports management and business administration.
