Three with Florida ties at U.S. Under 23 National Team Camp

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gators at U.S. Soccer National Team camps this January continues as three with University of Florida ties will be at U.S. Under 23 camp this week.
The U.S. Under 23 Team will have a camp in Carson, California, from January 18-25 and three past and present Gators will attend. Gabby Seiler, Havana Solaun and Christen Westphal have been selected to attend.
Seiler sat out the 2015 season due to SEC transfer rules after enrolling at Florida this fall. She played at Georgia for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. At Georgia, she was All-SEC first team in 2014. Also in 2014, she led the Bulldogs with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points. Seiler attended a U.S. U-19 camp in the fall of 2015.
Solaun, a 2014 All-SEC first team selection, was second among the Gators in goals (9) and points (27) as a senior. She was selected by Seattle Reign FC as the 15th pick overall in the 2015 National Women's Soccer League draft. She was sidelined for the 2015 NWSL season due to an injury suffered late in pre-season.
As senior, Westphal was named the 2015 SEC Defensive Player of the Year and was a first-team selection for both NSCAA All-America and All-SEC honors. Westphal led the Gators and the SEC with 13 assists in 2015, which tied for fourth in 2015 Division I play. She was third among the 2015 Gators in points (19), the most ever in a season by a Gator defender. She was the third pick overall in the 2016 NWSL Draft and will play for the Boston Breakers.
The U.S. U-23 camp will conclude with a match against the full women's national team from the Republic of Ireland on Jan. 25 at the U.S. Soccer NTC at 11 a.m. PT.
Earlier this month, rising sophomore Mayra Pelayo attended a U.S. U-20 Camp, also held in Carson, California. In December, goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese attended a U.S. U-18 Camp in Chula Vista, California.
