Divers Conclude Georgia Invitational

Three Florida divers competed on the platform in the final day of the 2001 Georgia Diving Invitational at the Gabrielsen Natatorium on Sunday.
For the men, junior Reggie Coote (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Western) came in seventh with his score of 404.25 points. The women's team was represented by two divers in the event. Sophomore Sarah Close (Clearwater, Fla./Dunedin/Houston) finished fourth with a score of 365.85. Freshman Kristen Connor (Gainesville, Fla./Buchholz) came in 14th, scoring 256.95 points.
The women's swimming and diving team will return to action on Jan. 13 when it hosts the University of Texas at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center Natatorium at 4 p.m. The men are off until Jan. 18 when they travel to Dallas, Tex. to take on the SMU Mustangs and compete in the Dallas Morning News Classic. The team will also take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Jan. 20.
