Swimmers Compete At World Championship Trials

Selected swimmers from the University of Florida competed in the World Championship Trials at the University of Texas on Sunday.
The Gators had one member reach the finals in their event. Sophomore Matt Yacco (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield) swam in the finals of the 1,500-meter freestyle. Yacco came in 45th overall in the race, touching the wall in 16:23.97.
Selected divers from the Florida's men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in the U.S. Diving Zones April 7-9 in Orlando. The U.S. Diving Nationals are set for April 18-23.
