Seeds Announced for SEC Women's Tennis Tournament; Gators No. 1

All 12 seeds for the Southeastern Conference Women's Tennis Tournament were announced Saturday evening by the league office.
The Gators, who won the regular-season title for the 23rd time in the 29-year history of the event, earned the No. 1 seed and received one of the four first-round byes. Florida will play the winner of the match between No. 8 Auburn and No. 9 South Carolina on Friday, April 18 at 3 p.m. ET, at the City of Auburn/Auburn University Yarbrough Tennis Center.
The complete list of seeds: No. 1 Florida, No. 2 Georgia, No. 3 Arkansas, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Tennessee, No. 6 LSU, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 8 Auburn, No. 9 South Carolina, No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 11 Alabama and No. 12 Mississippi State.
The Gators (18-1, 11-0 SEC) have won 15 of the 20 SEC Tournament titles and have advanced to the championship final 19 times. Georgia defeated Florida, 4-2, in last year's final, snapping the Gators' five-year run as tournament champs. Florida sports a 54-5 all-time record in SEC Tournament action, including a 20-0 record in quarterfinal matches.
