Head Coach Mike Holloway Met with the Media on Monday

University of Florida head coach Mike Holloway addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Coach Holloway previewed this weekend's season-opening competition, as the track & field teams begin action at the Kentucky Invitational in Lexington, Ky. The first event starts Friday at 6 p.m. ET and on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
The Gators enter the meet with a pair of top-six national rankings as the UF men are ranked No. 2 in the nation and the women are sixth nationally, according to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association poll, released last week. Both teams are coming off top-10 finishes at last season's NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Coach Holloway discussed and fielded questions about the excitement of competing for the first time this year, on sophomore Christian Taylor, on the development of the sprinters and on the expectations of senior Calvin Smith.
