Saturday, January 16, 2010 | Track and Field
Redshirt Florida freshman Jeremy Postin (Andover, Kan.) recorded a personal-best toss in the men's weight throw Friday to lead the Gator track and field teams on the opening day of the Kentucky Invitational at E.J. Nutter Fieldhouse.
Postin charted a career-best toss of 17.64m/57-10.50 to place eighth in the men's weight throw on a light day that featured just four Florida athletes in competition.
The second day of the Kentucky Invitational commences at 9:30 a.m. ET (a change from the initial schedule) with the remainder of the field events and then the running events starting at 12:30 p.m.
Sophomore multi-event athlete Gray Horn (Waynesfield, Ohio) was 12th in the men's high jump with a leap of 1.94m/6-4.25. Daniela Griffin (Jacksonville, Fla.) and Jenicia McFadden (Cocoa Beach, Fla.) rounded out the day by participating in the women's triple jump event.
