W. Golf Competes At Auburn Invitational and JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational

The University of Florida women's golf team finished the Auburn Invitational in second place on Sunday. The Gators shot a team score of 297 (+9) at the 18-hole event.
Florida finished just three strokes behind tournament host Auburn, who carded a 294 (+6). Georgia finished third with a 301 (+13) and Vanderbilt rounded out the four-team field with a 305 (+17).
Sophomore Evan Jensen (Belleair, Fla.) had the best finish for the Gators, tying for second with a 36-hole score of 72 (E). Jensen carded a two-over on her first nine holes and two-under on the back nine. She was followed by Mia Piccio (Bacolod City, Philippines), who tied for fifth with a 73 (+1). The freshman was one-over after nine holes and even par after her final nine. Freshman Isabelle Lendl (Bradenton, Fla.) and sophomore Marika Lendl (Bradenton, Fla.) tied for 10th with a 76 (+4). The sister both shot a two-over on their first and final nine holes.
Junior Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) finished in 24th with an 82 (+10) and senior Lauren Uzelatz (Lakeland, Fla.), who competed as an individual, carded a 91 (+19) in her first event this season.
Meanwhile, three Gators are currently competing in Jacksonville at the JMU/Eagle Landing Invitational. Sophomore Andrea Watts (Bradenton, Fla.) led the trio of UF golfers, finishing in a tie for 10th after the first 18 holes. Watts carded a a 75 (+3) making six birdies, three bogeys and three double bogeys.
Senior Nicole Schachner (Libertyville, Ill.) is currently tied for 32nd after carding a 78 (+6) and freshman Megan Pak (Bradenton, Fla.) carded a 79 (+7) in her first-career appearance for the Gators. She is tied for 40th.
