Thursday, May 6, 2010 | Track and Field
Select members of the University of Florida track and field team will participate in the two-day Seminole Twilight Invitational beginning this Friday in Tallahassee, using the meet as a final regular-season tune-up before the championship season begins May 13-16 with the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships in Knoxville, Tenn.
Activities for the Gators begin with select field events on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET, while the meet resumes at 10 a.m. ET Saturday. Live results will be available at www.halfmiletiming.com.
Florida has had a week off from competition since participating in the 116th Penn Relays Carnival in Philadelphia , Pa., in late April. The Gators had a highly successful weekend at Penn, capturing five events and setting two of the top-10 marks in event history.
