ESPNU Announces Wednesday Night Volleyball Schedule

ESPNU has announced its Wednesday Night Women's Volleyball schedule for the 2010 NCAA season.

ESPNU has announced its Wednesday Night Women's Volleyball schedule for the 2010 NCAA season. The consistent package is a first of its kind for ESPNU and NCAA women's volleyball. Action begins Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 8 p.m. ET on ESPNU showcasing Nebraska at Iowa State and runs eight consecutive weeks concluding the last Wednesday, Nov. 23, with a doubleheader. It features Oklahoma at Texas A&M at 9 p.m. on ESPNU HD and Saint Mary's at San Diego at 11 p.m. on ESPNU. The last six weeks of the package are doubleheaders, and seven of the 14 telecasts air on ESPNU HD.

The SEC has five conference matchups, followed by the Big 12 with four intra-conference matches. The West Coast Conference and the Western Athletic Conference each have two matches featuring conference teams and the SWAC will have one.

Nine teams featured in the Wednesday night schedule are ranked in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll, while three others are receiving votes. There are four top 25 matchups currently on the schedule, including one potential top 10 meeting. Big 12 foes No. 7 Nebraska at No. 5 Texas play Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m. on ESPNU HD.
