University of Florida head coach Gregg Troy addressed the media Monday morning as part of the Gators' All-Sports Media Day.
Troy said the Gators has a good SEC opener against LSU over the weekend and with the divers doing well to start off the meet, they had a softer points cushion so they were able to swim different lineups and see some different people compete. Troy was ecstatic with the performance of the men's sprinters because they are not normally this good at this point during the season and it bodes well for the future as both the men and women use dual meets to evaluate and prepare for the NCAA meet. Troy also spoke about the upcoming week and that while the men will be staying in Gainesville to train, the women will travel to Arkansas and some of them will travel to SMU after that and the coaches are interested to see how they will respond to traveling and with it being just the women, it will give some veterans a chance to step up.
