The University of Florida's Olivia Janowicz (Palm Bay, Fla.) was recognized as the Southeastern Conference Women's Tennis Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Janowicz posted a 6-1 combined record on the singles and doubles courts last week during the ITA National Team Indoor Championships against some of the top teams in the country.

On the doubles court, Janowicz went 3-1, helping UF win the doubles point three times, provided the clinching win in two of those matches, pairing with fellow freshman Alex Cercone (Seminole, Fla.) and helping the Gators (10-1) advance to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships final for the first time since 2003.
